The clavicle - 1st part





I-                   Definition:

             -          Type: long bone
             -          Parity: pair
             -          Symetry: asymmetric
             -          Location: the clavicle is a subcutaneous bone stretched transversely between the manubrium and the acromial process of the scapula, in the frontal, superior and lateral region of the thorax.
            -          Joints: Its medial end articulates with the clavicular notch of the manubrium. Its lateral end articulates with the acromial process of the scapula.

II-                Siding:

             -          The medial end is round.
             -          The lateral end is flattened.
             -          The concavity on the flattened end is anterior.
             -          Most irregularities and roughening are on the inferior surface.
