The scapula - 1st part





I-                   Definition:

               -          Type: flat and large bone
               -          Parity: pair
               -          Symetry: asymmetric
           -          Location: the scapula is the dorsal bone of the shoulder girdle, located in the posterior, superior and lateral region of the thorax.
              -          Joints: The scapula articulates with the clavicle on the top and laterally with the head of the humerus.

II-                Siding:

             -          The concave surface is anterior.
             -          The shortest border is superior.
             -          The longest border is medial.
        -        The piriform shaped articular cavity is lateral.
